I'd just like to express my overall thoughts and opinions regarding your restaurant. Until a few weeks ago I had never had the pleasure of dining there. But, my first experience was so gratifying and memorable, I've been back several times! My guests, both romantic and business in nature, were equally pleased with the fine food, cocktails, and extremely friendly staff. We were ALWAYS greeted a soon as we stepped in the door, led to a comfortable table, and received very prompt service. It's always rewarding to find a wonderful place to have dinner, socialize, and feel so welcome. I only regret not having "discovered" your establishment sooner!

Excellent service and atmosphere, Lone Tree has needed a place like this! Comparable to cherry creek grill without the drive!

We have been wanting to try your restaurant since we moved here in February. It was recommended to us by our friends in CA (where we moved from) who worked with John Johnson for years. Anyway, we were just there for Mother's Day Brunch and wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our experience! The food was wonderful, staff was attentive and the decor is beautiful! Thanks again for a lovely Mother's Day Brunch experience. We will definitely tell our friends about it and be back!!

I've been everywhere in the Denver South Metro Area... Ok maybe not everywhere, but nearly since the options are limited. I have to say the food and service at Blue Rox has kept me coming back for more. I decided to hold out on reviewing this place until I made certain it lived up to the rule of three visit satisfaction. I've been here four times now and it seriously blows other places out of the water. This morning I tried their brunch menu- with a wide variety from French toast, breakfast burritos, and specialty benny's to chicken fried steak. How can you beat $8 bottomless mimosas (generously mixed 80/20 champagne- made it a point to ask the bartender what the ratio is since I was impressed with the taste and the buzz after two!) Dinner options are plentiful with specials like Duck Marsala, creative fresh fish preparations that change daily and even prime rib on Tuesdays! Call me old-fashioned but the BBQ bacon burger is my favorite thing on the menu hands-down. I figure that if a place can blow you away with a burger then you can bet other things on the menu are worth a try. Happy hour is awesome- half off all bar menu items means you get Pot Roast Mini's (three delectible toasted mini buns stuffed with melt-in-your-mouth pot roast) for $3 and change!! It's easily enough to fill you up. Best of all Happy Hour runs from 3pm-7pm and then from 10pm til close everyday! This morning I tried the corned beef hash and eggs... Sorry Pancake House, Blue Rox has you beat and I don't have to wait half an hour to be seated. I'm so glad this little gem popped up to replace Grazio's mediocre Italian!!! The food is terrific, portions are generous, the bartenders are friendly and there are no pretentious attitudes in here. I realize this sounds like a grossely positive review but the truth is this place deserves to succeed. It has all the qualities of a destination restaurant and is located in my backyard. Blue Rox I love you.

I love this place. It is my go to place for client meetings and gatherings with friends. I take every opportunity I can to introduce new people to Blue Rox! Everyone leaves thrilled. I have just left from a lunch meeting; i believe this was my 10th visit! I eat out quite often and if I find a place I like I can tend to order the same thing. At Blue Rox the menu is so diverse and excellent that I have only repeated 1 menu item. When not meeting clients for lunch my family and I love the weekend brunch. My little girls love the mini-burgers and fish and chips. Well there I go, now I'm hungry again. I am calling right now to book a group business lunch at Blue Rox! Simply the best option in the lone tree area. Joe

Looking for something different than the normal fast food experience. So we spotted your restaurant, not knowing anything about it and decided to give it a try. We were blown away at how great the food tasted. The waiter was great with recommendations. I would definitely recommend your restaurant to anyone who appreciates the extra effort and care that goes into preparing a dish from scratch with fresh ingredients. I will definitely visit you again next time I am in Denver.

Killer food, great atmosphere and the servers are so nice. Excited to have a new great restaurant in the area. Not to mention...brunch on Saturday and Sunday, we're always looking for a good Saturday brunch place and it's not easy to find.

Just ate at this place and we actually decided to go based on the other good reviews on this website. I'm glad we tried it out because we were very happy to find another place close by that pretty much has everything on the menu. I had the Chicken Pot Pie which was way better than the one at Grand Lux nearby. It was really great. My husband had the Blue Rox burger and it had a ton of flavor. We'll definitely be back..I like sitting in the bar area...but the dining room looks like it is nice too.

Another great dining experience. My wife and I went to brunch again, and we both had the Denver Omelet. It was truly outstanding. I had so much food that I ended up taking half of it home for another breakfast. Hats off to Alicia, our server. As always, her friendly demeanor and professionalism shined through and just helped to make this another fine outing. We plan to be back soon. Online Comment Date: 05/01/10 02:15 PM

First, I hardly ever give a 5 star rating because when I see a 5 star review I think it must be from one of the staff. I am not staff. We ate at Blue Rox for Easter and it was very good. So we returned there last night and are convinced this is one of our most favorite restaurants. We ordered the lamb lolipops as a starter, then the trout, the pot roast and a French dip sandwich for our family of three. Everything was great. The lamb needs to be it's own entree - they were amazing! Everything else was very good. The wine list is just large enough to cover all the bases. Sadly we had no room for dessert, the list was tempting though. Sometimes we go out of our way to support "non-chain" restaurants and lately with mixed reviews - but Blue Rox knocks it out of the park!

I actually cannot wait to get back to your restaurant to have another "Rueben Sandwich." It was the very best "Rueben" I have ever had. It wasn't loaded with watery sour kraut that usually soaks the bread and makes it soggy. The sandwich was crisp on both sides. The corn beef was lean and tender. If you like "Ruebens" try it. I hope yours is as good as mine was.

My wife and I ordered from your brunch menu. This was the second time we've been to your establishment, having had dinner there a few months back. The brunch items were outstanding and the server that we had today was Nicole, who also waited on us during our last visit. You are lucky to have her. She is most attentive and a very friendly and professional young lady. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch experience and plan to be back. Thank you.

Two visits to the Blue Rox Grill resulted in the following. 1. Positive, friendly service 2. Coconut shrimp app. was terrific with a nice semi-spicy glaze 3. GREAT CHILI - The Chili smothered burger was great. Seriously some of the best anywhere! 4. Shrimp Po' Boy was really on point - loaded with well-prepared shrimp and fresh cole slaw. 5. Doughnut hole dessert was fun to eat, tasted fresh, and comes with several sweet dipping sauces. To recap - apps and dessert were on par - loved the Chili

Went there today for lunch with my husband. I had the Etoufee with andouillie sausage, chicken, and shrimp with jasmine rice. It was wonderful! My husband got the french dip sandwich. He said he could tell is was fresh sliced roast beef and not processed. The accompanying fries were good as well. The service was great. Our waiter visited our table many times to fill up our drinks and see if we needed anything.

Ever since the Black Eyed Pea closed on Arapahoe I've been looking for a place that had chicken fried steak and this place did NOT disappoint. It was HUGE, covered in gravy and mashed potatoes and very good. Service was good. The server got me refills when my pop ran low, what else can you ask for?

Hi Blue Rox! Although I haven't visited yet but I know that this restaurant will be successful! The fact that I had the distinct pleasure with working so many years with John Johnson, this restaurant screams fun, excitement, passion, community, GREAT FOOD and an experience you will NEVER forget! Make it your next destination. Much success to Blue Rox!!!

My son in-listed in the National Guard on friday and we brought him to your restaurant. Thank you for making it a night he will always remember. Everyone made us feel so special and the food was perfect as always. Thank you for treating us to deserts and appetizers. It was wonderful!

We had the BEST burgers I have ever had! I am partial to sweet potato fries and yours was outstanding! To top off the meal, we received a chocolate dessert that was WAY DELICIOUS! Everything about the place was excellent - food, service, atmosphere, etc. My birthday is coming up in March and I will definitely mention this place as my choice to go! Kudos to you and your establishment - I will continue to pass on the good word!

This place reminded me of a classy brasserie in Paris or a supper club in the Rat Pack era. The atmosphere was alluring- dark woods, tobacco colored walls and deep blue glass accents. I ordered the lamb lollipops as an appetizer and was amazed on the generous portion for only ten dollars- they were perfect! -medium rare, plated beautifully, I washed down the lamb chops with a Blue Rox martini- I have no idea what was in it but it was eye pleasing and really different. For the main course - I had a hard time picking between the bacon wrapped meatloaf, one of the seafood dishes or the homemade chicken pot pie. I opted on the bacon wrapped meatloaf with mash potatoes. I'm still thinking about it 3 days later!!! It was divine, satiating and so reasonable. Anyone could take a date to this place and really impress them without putting a dent in their wallet. The wine list is diverse and offers quite a few reasonably priced bottles of wine for under 30 dollars. I was too full to order dessert but the desserts looked brilliant! Including everything from a giant homemade chocolate cookie to a creamy carmel pecan pie. I'm going back and starting with dessert the next time. What I really appreciated was simple comfort foods prepared in a polished, classy and modern way. I bet the chef is from Europe

My hubby and I tried this for lunch today. Blue Rox, is very nice inside with blue accents everywhere. We sat at a booth in the bar area near the blue glow of the bar's shelves lined with top shelf liquor. But no drink for us today - darn work! They had an extensive lunch menu with everything under the sun on the menu. I had the french dip and the hubby had the chicken fired steak. Both were huge portions! Mine had a nice flavor to the meat and the bun was chewy and not too crusty - just how I like it :) I took a bit of his too and the steak was nicely cooked (still juicy, but with a crispy coating). Service was great and all in all it was winner. Looks like they have daily happy hour from 3-7p and then again from 10p to close. The bar area was big and open + the bar menu seemed to have several options if you are looking for cocktail and app place. Really liked it! Hope it sticks around :)

Food is worth the price, not to mention the service. Also they have a great variety of both food and drink. Service is more friendly to competing entities in the same area.

Went for brunch. Had the french toast. Very yummy. Four huge pieces of thick-sliced bread. The bacon was very thick cut and cooked perfectly. The eggs were cooked perfectly, too. And the hash browns were old school, which I love when they are cooked perfectly, as these were. I will definitely go back to try the lunch/dinner menu.

I have been to Blue Rox twice now. The menu is deceptive - there are a LOT of different items available, which always makes me think "diner" or "Cheesecake Factory", BUT don't let that fool you! I have NOT yet found this to be like so many OTHER places that just present the same few sauces, carbs, veggies and proteins in different combinations with different names. Nope - every dish is it's own thing. Each item we have ordered has been distinctive, well prepared, well presented and delicious. It can be a balancing act having such a variety, but so far so good on the food quality. The two servers we have had were super nice, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, which helped make passing the time a little easier while waiting for the food. That said, this is the rare place that also has plenty to appeal to a kid's palate, and is a great place to bring your well-behaved foodies-in-training that is a step way up from Chili's and lets them feel a little special, too. Good on you to whomever on the Blue Rox team had this foresight!

We've been here twice now and have loved it all. Service is quick and helpful, the menu has it all - it will take us several months to work our way through it, the prices are decent, atmosphere pleasant and oh my the food! The food is very well prepared and original. We'll go our of our way to find great, local, non-chain restaurants and this one is fabulous. The bar is comfortable as is the restaurant itself.
